THE CAPITAL'S NEWEST FAN-RUN CONVENTION IS COMINGTARGET: SUMMER / FALL 2026Otaku Zone is bringing a whole new energy to the city. We aren’t some corporate machine—we are a community movement. Our goal is to create a loving, caring, family-friendly space for collectors, enthusiasts, and geeks of all kinds. FOR FANS, BY FANS.We love the big events. We respect the giants like Anime North and Ottawa Comiccon—they do incredible work. But we believe there is space for something different. Something agile, affordable, and hyper-focused on the community.Otaku Zone is a movement to create a recurring, high-quality event series that hits smaller towns and big cities alike. From Ottawa to Montreal. Toronto to Vancouver.THE MISSIONWe are aiming for 50+ Shows a Year by 2027.
We want to create a sustainable ecosystem where:
- Vendors are Partners (not just renters - They keep 100% of profits from their ideas and activities)
* Guests help guide the experience
* Entry is affordable — or 100% FREEFANS & VENDORS: WE NEED YOUMost conventions focus on profits, but we focus on building community. We rely on YOU. This is hitting the ground running. We already have interest from people across Canada—from major cities like Vancouver, Calgary, Saskatoon, Quebec City, and Toronto, down to little towns we didn’t even know existed. Even people as close as Montreal have said: “Let us know when more people contact you, and we are in.”THE GREENLIGHT GUARANTEENo one pays a cent until the event is officially Greenlit.We believe in this movement so much that we are funding it in-house.

Entry for guests is always FREE for children under 12 — and if we hit 40+ vendors, entry is FREE FOR EVERYONE.WHAT’S WAITING FOR YOUWe’ve secured a massive complex.While the main show runs in a 4,000 sq ft hall, there is over 10,000 sq ft of roaming space to explore:- The Anime Zone: Figures, Plushies, Manga & Merch

- The Fun Zone: Interactive gaming setups & Retro Video Game Corner
- Food Station: Located just outside the exit so the smells don’t distract you from the huntTHE STAR POWER PROJECTWe are spending every day trying to secure big stars — voice actors, illustrators, and animators. Because these guests are expensive, we need your help. If a vendor or sponsor can refer a special guest, it helps keep costs low and puts more money back into making the next convention happen faster. We already have a dedicated Autograph Booth waiting for the right talent.THE ITINERARYWe run a fixed schedule of activities, including Vendor-Run Events and house-planned fun.
